BEN FUSARI
The first thread of Atelier Fusari was woven in 1928 in Genoa, Italy, where Sophie Fusari opened Fusari Tailleur. After the war, she moved to Marseille, where her grandson Ben was born in 1987. Inspired by his grandmother’s creativity and entrepreneurship, Ben developed a passion for craftsmanship and innovation.
Years later, armed with an MBA in International Business, Ben arrived in Shanghai, a city whose energy instantly resonated with him. Within six months, Atelier Fusari was founded — a fusion of Italian elegance, French passion, and Chinese dynamism.
Self-taught in fashion, Ben began by connecting French tailors with Chinese factories. Yet, “Made in China” luxury was not taken seriously. In 2011, he opened his own boutique in Shanghai — and just months later, a major Chinese blogger’s feature propelled Atelier Fusari into the spotlight.
